colours of my job - part 1
I seriously cannot understand and comprehend how can a guy (handsome, good-looking, good build, articulate and good language skills, with a pretty girlfriend) who has here for almost 1 year and been doing the same old job everyday solving the same old problem for customer everyday, can ask a stupid question that another newbie learnt in his first week??????!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The whole 12 hours he put on his headphones watching YouTube, movies, videos, waiting for customers to call and for the phone to ring. You walk up to him to talk to him he pretends he didn't hear you but when you talks about his pay or food in a distance he responds. He enjoys his entertaintment and keeps his emails until the end of the day. You asked him why is he not doing his emails and following procedure, he gives you a piece of his mind and starts questioning the procedures and complaining non-stop. Mind you, he's very loud.
Don't get me wrong, he's doing his job and customers like him, just not up to standard and he does it his own way. It's not wrong, just not following procedures, the procedures that I set. Not much of a team player though. As we are a team, his attitude affects us.
You send out an official email to all about a new product or feature, he doesn't want to read, then he tells you he doesn't know anything about it because you didn't tell him. When you tells him face to face the next time, he either gives you the biggest blur look ever that you thought he's from another planet and doesn't breathe air or he'll just nod while having his headphones on blasting the music. When you ask him to take off his headphones, he'll make small noises to indicate you're disturbing his peace.
Everyone gets their own access to a certain portal to check on some information. He's the only one who had his password reset so many times. He claimed he kept forgetting them. After those reset he actually doesn't bother to try login again and went to ask others to help him do the job. The other day I make sure he logins after the reset and teach him how to use the portal. It turned out that in the past 10 months he had never login to the portal before and now he discover wonders of how the portal can help him do his job. Duh..
Gosh, I just cannot stand these people. I just wanna give him a big WHACK!
