Laos - people and culture

Sorry for the delay. Been busy with the relocation and getting used to the new office. (And now my new boss is really sitting next to my cubicle!).
Now let the pictures do the talking...

tuk-tuks lining up in front of an Italian restaurant

man at work - he just put his hand right in, he might get electrocuted

one of the streets in Vientiane

typical shophouses

pubs and restaurants targetted at mat sallehs

policeman - I actually went up to him asking permission for a photo but he shaked his head

happily showing off his goods though I'm not sure what the net is for

typical fruit/vegetable seller with the - Black Stupa in the background

goldsmiths are actually located above the market

the lady on the left with the black plastic bag full of money, oh yeah they do carry a bagful of money out since notes are preferred than plastics

handmade local product

one of the streets in Luang Prabang (2nd largest city after Vientiane)

child monks

Luang Prabang morning market

not sure what they are loading

dirt, thick!
